Who Motivates You?

In your profession, hundreds if not thousands of people count on you to motivate or inspire them. That’s what you do. That’s what you love to do. But who motivates you?

For me, today started as just another day. I was looking forward to the day ahead, but I wasn’t totally “fired up” yet. Then, I got a phone call. The call was from someone who inspired me and helped me see some great opportunities ahead of me… and he was offering to guide me in pursuit of them. How do you think that made me feel? “Let’s go!” “Let’s do it!” – That’s how I’m feeling now. So I wonder, who motivates you?

The profession of speaking can be a lonely one if you’re not careful and diligent about surrounding yourself with a great support network. Make sure you’re not going it alone. Find someone you can call today – or better yet, who can call you – to fan your flame a bit. Make it a regular part of your life.
